The new Rapide Cockpit is more than just the fastest way to the finish line. It's the fastest leading edge we've ever made, delivering aero gains in clean air where they matter most, and shaves four watts off the power of the already ultra-fast two-piece Rapide handlebar and Tarmac SL7 stem. But delivering a leading edge that delivers a winning advantage takes more than just pure aerodynamics. The goal for the Roval engineering team was simple: the Rapide Cockpit had to be the fastest handlebar we've ever made, no compromises. It's aerodynamic, light, stiff, and designed in collaboration with the world's best riders and our fit experts at Retül so you can keep victory under control.

AERODYNAMIC: By removing the hardware assembly (where the stem and handlebar connect), we were able to design the leading edge of the handlebar with a single aerofoil. We optimized this aerofoil to provide maximum advantage in clean air at speeds seen from long solo breakaways to full-throttle World Tour sprints. While a four-watt improvement may seem small, it adds up to a 32cm advantage in a 250m final sprint. When races are won with bike launches, this is a winning difference.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND STIFF: By removing the hardware assembly from the stem, the Rapide Cockpit is 50 grams lighter (100mm x 420mm) than a two-piece Rapide handlebar assembly and Tarmac SL7. Made from premium high-modulus carbon fiber, offering the ideal stiffness for the biggest and fastest sprinters on the World Tour, the Rapide Cockpit has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system we’ve ever made.

FIT: The downside to one-piece cockpits has long been fit, but we partnered with our Retül fit pros and the world’s best riders to ensure nearly every rider can find their fit. We offer 15 different stem and handlebar combinations, all at -6 degrees, so we’ve got your race-day position covered. The radius from top to bottom has been sculpted to allow for wrist clearance, whether out of the saddle in a final sprint or in an aero position, while the bend and flare mirror our favorite Rapide handlebar.
