Using the latest technologies from Dura Ace R9100 and Ultegra R8000 road components, the Shimano 105 R7000 groupset offers added versatility and enhanced performance for a wide range of riders. The shifters are ergonomically sophisticated and follow the sleek design of their Ultegra counterparts, while the mid-length rear derailleur and 11-34 cassette extend the range of ratios. The highlight of the new 105 is the addition of hydraulic disc brakes to the standard range, which have the usual good features of Shimano disc-specific components. The flat brake calipers are compatible with Ice Technologies brake pads and discs starting at 140mm diameter to deliver the most powerful Shimano 105 groupset ever.

The Shimano 105 ST-R7020 Dual Control Lever features a redesigned internal shift unit, resulting in a slimmer, more ergonomic control lever that follows the design of its Ultegra R8000 counterpart. An increased reach of up to 15mm provides greater control and more reliable braking performance in all conditions. Compared to the ST-R7025 Dual Control levers, the reach is 4mm further out, making these levers better suited for riders with slightly larger hands.
