3D PRINTED PADDING

The evolution of 3D digital printing has allowed us to develop a new saddle without the limitations imposed by traditional production methods and materials. The adaptive saddle padding is made by Carbon® using their revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution, and surface finish.

CUSTOMIZED ZONAL CUSHIONING

Using carbon technology, biomechanists and engineers have an unprecedented possibility: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, adjusting each of them separately for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional zones is designed to offer distinctive cushioning and mechanical response, progressively and fluidly united in the same padding. The result? A 60% reduction in maximum pressure through better weight distribution for greater comfort across the entire saddle surface.

LAB TESTED, ROAD TESTED

The saddle is very easy to clean. Even with the dirtiest trail grime, gravel dust, or trail spray, all you need to do is simply hose it off with water. Everything that goes in, comes out. We have subjected it to the most severe tests, simulating accelerated erosion, UV aging and wear resistance following strict protocols.

Whether riding on smooth asphalt or navigating technical terrain, Argo is designed to help riders find a better posture, placing them in a more planted position for greater stability and better weight distribution. Plus, the shorter, drop-toe design provides superior support while adopting a powerful, streamlined pedaling position.

   DESIGN, TEST, TRIP

To develop the ideal adaptive comfort zones, we study the different riding positions and pressure points of professional and amateur cyclists alike, both in fizik labs and on open roads, gravel tracks and trails. During each development phase, new iterations were carefully tested with great emphasis on understanding how pressure patterns change based on different bike geometries, riding positions, and surface types.
