The rim has a NACA rim profile, 45mm deep and 26mm wide, specially designed for full performance on flat or rough terrain. The wheels are developed, designed and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France. They are 100% handcrafted in Mavic's carbon factory in Europe.

The shape of the rim makes it easier than ever to mount the tires. Riding on the UST Tubeless means there is no inner tube. The result is less friction and more air volume for a smoother, faster ride with super low rolling resistance. Redesigned spokes make the wheel 80g lighter than its predecessor, the Cosmic Pro Carbon UST. Combined with the Infinity's center platform, which feels quick and responsive, they are stiffer and more efficient. The Cosmic SL 45 Disc was specially developed for disc brakes and has an optimized number of spokes and chords.
