From the sleek design of the industrial design to the way the helmet handles impact energy, the Aether MIPS is different from previous helmets and shows the true importance of performance innovation. It combines an open and spacious design with a revolution in rotational energy management to improve riders' head protection. Inside the Aether, the dual-density EPS foam liner helps cope with a wide range of impact energies, while also featuring deep internal ducts for cooling. Our patented spherical MIPS® technology is embedded between layers of EPS foam rather than on the rider's head, giving riders the benefits of MIPS without compromising comfort or cooling power. The impressive silhouette is created by a sleek six-part shell surrounding a series of massive air vents, with additional structural reinforcement thanks to the AURA Shatterproof Arch Reinforcement. A final touch is our Roc Loc 5+ Air fit system with a 3-way adjustment that allows for an easy fit in seconds.

TECHNOLOGY :

     The impressive shape of the six-piece shell is created by using six individual pieces of polycarbonate around a series of massive vents.
     Aura Bracing Arch: Structural integrity is reinforced by an unbreakable, semi-transparent Aura reinforcing arch that runs through the hull.
     Deep Internal Channeling: Combined with the massive vents, the internal channel forces air to flow across the scalp, providing extraordinary cooling power.
     Goggle Attachment Points: Integrated eyepiece attachment points with rubber grips help secure sunglasses.
     Progressive Layers: Aether uses multi-density EPS foam to reduce weight and manage a wide range of impact energy.
     Nanobead EPS Foam: To achieve a slim, slim silhouette without compromising protection standards, Aether uses microbead EPS.
     Roc Loc 5+ Air Fit System: In addition to adjusting retention on the compact, ergonomic knob, riders can adjust the upright position and asymmetrically adjust contact points.
     MIPS Spherical - A modernized version of the MIPS brain protection system, eliminating the plastic skid plane of the original MIPS design.
     In-Mold Construction: This design combines a hard polycarbonate outer shell with a padded foam helmet liner. The bonding process allows for better ventilation systems, making "in-mold" helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.
     Wind Tunnel Ventilation: Giro helmets are made with our patented Wind Tunnel Ventilation system. This design combines active vents in the helmet shell with exhaust ducts inside the helmet that push cool air over and around the rider's head while exhausting hot, stale air. This is the most efficient cooling system available and you can feel the difference every time you drive.
