The legendary mountain bike group is preparing to set the standard for mountain bikers around the world, even the younger generation. For almost three decades, the Deore XT has been synonymous with durability, reliability and proven performance in trailers. As the mountain bike gets faster and the terrain more technically challenging, the job of the M8100's components is to give the rider the confidence he needs to get the most out of the bike.

Typically Shimano, the Deore XT also features innovations in high-end XTR parts. As a result, Micro Spline and Hyperglide + are on board with the new 12-speed group.

The Shimano Deore XT M8100 Cross Country Brake Kit consists of the ergonomic BL-M8100 brake lever and the powerful BR-M8100 2-piston brake caliper. The proven One Way Bleeding Bleeding System and Easy Hose Joint System, which make it easy to replace the brake line, ensure easy and trouble-free maintenance.

In brake systems with J-Kit brake line connection, the brake lever has an integrated pinch seal (olive), which greatly simplifies the installation and removal of the brake line in general.

Shimano Deore XT BL-M8100 brake lever
The Shimano Deore XT BL-M8100's brake lever clamp is angled, so the outer end of the tank is ingeniously supported directly on the handlebars. The two points of contact created in this way provide significantly greater rigidity, which ultimately results in more direct feedback and therefore greater braking power.

Shimano's SERVOWAVE technology also improves braking performance, ensuring a particularly good dosage. Because the brake lever takes up a lot of stopping distance right at the beginning of its movement, the brake pads make contact with the brake disc more quickly and there is more travel of the lever to modulate the braking force. As a result, SERVO WAVE braking systems are characterized by faster reaction, higher power and shorter idle travel.

The BL-M8100 is 10% stiffer than its predecessor, even at high temperatures. The width of the brake lever is directly adjustable without additional tools. Thanks to the construction of the I-Spec EV, the controls of the Deore XT SL-M8100-I can be mounted directly on the brake lever.

The Shimano Deore XT BR-M8100 Postmount brake caliper, with its 2-piston construction, is ideal for cross-country use. By accelerating the return of the pistons, the modulation behavior has once again improved compared to its predecessor, resulting in better brake control. G03A resin brake pads in combination with the lightweight 2-piston brake caliper ensure extremely good deceleration combined with reduced weight.
