Thanks to an exclusive collaboration with the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and MIPS, we shared our helmet CAD designs and studied the malleable skulls of young riders using finite element analysis (FEA). Because children's heads are softer and still developing, this collaboration resulted in the use of low-density foam.

DATA-DRIVEN INNOVATION: As a result of our collaboration with KTH and MIPS, the Mio 2 features 16.5% more low-density foam, while only increasing the helmet's size by 2.5%.

COMFORT: The Mio 2 may have the latest and greatest technology on the inside, but that only matters if the helmet fits properly. That's why the Mio 2 features a child-specific fit and our SX helmet fit system, to help it stay snug and comfortable every time it's worn. The easy-to-use Tri-Fix strap divider makes achieving a "no-fuss" fit incredibly simple, all to create a helmet your child will actually want to wear.
