Shimano Ultegra CS-R8100-12 Cassette

The Shimano Ultegra CS-R8100 cassette is characterized by seamless shifting processes, which not only ensure quiet cruising speed, but also allow the rider to devote full concentration to climbing and sprinting. This is made possible by the Hyperglide+ technology, which has already been able to convince in the MTB segment with smooth shifting processes in both directions across the entire gear range.

Even under maximum effort or in a direct duel with the adversary, smooth gear shifting up and down can be realized, while the larger teeth maintain maximum efficiency. And the 12-speed cassette is even compatible with previous Shimano 11-speed freehubs.

Hyperglide+

Conventional Hyperglide technology provides smooth gear changes thanks to small shift ramps that move the chain to the next largest sprocket. The Hyperglide+ takes over this function, but also applies it in the opposite direction to prevent the chain from falling when descending. The result is a smooth, consistent ride in both directions, with no bumps and no loss of cadence.
