Assos Equipe RSR Superléger S9 Bib Shorts in black. Assos Manufacturer Reference: 11.10.230.18
The Assos Equipe RSR Superléger S9 bib shorts are extremely breathable and lightweight garment. It is specifically designed for the most demanding competitions and training, both indoors and outdoors. With a weight of 120 grams, this garment follows the line of the S9 generation, using hyper light fabrics to achieve unmatched stability and offer extra ventilation. This garment is designed to increase comfort and offer optimal support during competitions on the hottest days and indoor workouts. Building on the base of the standard S9 bib shorts, the Butterfly main panel in the shape of a butterfly provides full wraparound protection. It is made with Breezer Tex fabric, an ultralight knitted material with a mesh structure that favors breathability and offers maximum softness to the touch. The rear panel and the rest of the front panel that secure the pad and are in contact with the saddle, feature the ultra-soft OSSIDIA warp knit fabric, which provides greater resistance against abrasion and offers the optimal attachment point. The straps are also made of a lighter elastic fabric, thus avoiding a few additional grams and favoring less sweat absorption. Made following the raceFit line, these shorts have the A-Lock Engineering system, which guarantees maximum stability and ensures the position of the pad during pedaling. The external rollBar straps, the modified ergonomic ergoBox structure and the one-piece Butterfly panel offer the highest stability and friction-free comfort.
S9 Sundeck pad: This is the evolution of the Equipe RS pad, optimized to further reduce moisture absorption and reduce its weight by a few grams of difference.
Chamois features:
- SuperAir microShock foam: Open-cell foam with a composition that absorbs moisture and allows it to return to its initial position, which makes it possible to fill the gap every time the position of the pedals is changed in the middle of the route
- 3D waffle cushioning system: Perforated three-layer foam increases breathability and reduces excess weight
- goldenGate technology: Technology that represses the seams on both sides of the panels of the chamois to offer three-dimensional freedom of movement in this sensitive and rotational area
- whirlKrater: Assos patented perforation system in the pad, which is strategically placed to promote air circulation
- Sundeck Superlight: Evolution of the patented kukuPenthouse design, which forms a pre-shaped panel on the front of the banana to keep the whole as dry as possible
Characteristics:
- zeroWaist fabric: Hemless fabric with reinforced and sealed edges for the best possible transition between the skin and the fabric panel, as well as greater comfort with less pressure
- skingGrip finish: Laser cut bands ensure that the shorts stay in place without exerting excessive pressure
The cut of Assos garments has been designed from the position on the bike. Some of the Assos garments have been particularly conceived for users with an athletic build. Assos cuts are anatomical, based on the A.E.P.D (Advanced Ergonomic Model Design) system, therefore Assos has designed its garments with protection and adaptation to the cyclist in mind, but without exceeding the pressure points for the cyclist. The best way to feel the anatomical precision of Assos is to put on your clothes and get into position on the bike; you will feel how the clothing adapts perfectly to the cycling position. Obviously, Assos does not make nice clothes to wear off the bike, this is a normal feeling among customers.
Buying the wrong size (too large or too small) will lead to comfort problems for the customer. A garment that is too large could cause irritation and discomfort caused by folds or excess fabric, since in this case the ALS system of the Assos sizing would not work perfectly. If the garment is too small, we will overstretch the seams and seams, resulting in increased pressure and discomfort.
Use tips:
- Never pull on the seams when putting on or taking off Assos garments
- Before getting on the bicycle, put on your clothes correctly, especially the pad and other pressure points, without forcing the seams or joining points
- The Assos shorts are designed for cycling. That is why the suspenders can pull excessively if we are standing, on the bicycle the excessive pressure disappears, if not, check your size
- Avoid stretching in excess the culottes when urinating (for men). It is better to do this by stretching the garment from the belly and the straps, always leaning forward to reduce the tension in the seams
- Avoid rolling near branches and bushes, that will undoubtedly spoil your clothes
Washing advice:
- Every time you wash Assos garments, try to do it separately from the rest of the laundry, thus avoiding friction with other fabrics and preserving the properties of Assos clothing
- Always separate dark clothing from white
- Before each wash, turn the clothes so that the inside is on the outside
- Assos garments can be washed in the washing machine, but always use the protection bag and a washing program for delicate clothes (maximum 30C)
- Do not use fabric softeners or aggressive products. Always use liquid and neutral soaps (example, the Assos Active Wear Cleaner)
- Do not stretch or squeeze Assos garments even to remove excess water
- Never use a tumble dryer with Assos garments. Let your clothes air dry, in a place not exposed to the sun
Storage:
- After each outing, store Assos garments in a well-ventilated place, although ideally you should wash them immediately after cycling
- Do not dry or store clothes in direct sunlight
- Never store clothes in a damp and closed place (avoid plastic bags, sports bags, etc.)
- If you tend to sweat a lot, it is recommended that you rinse the garment in cold water after each outing. This will protect the fibers from bacteria that could damage the fabric
