NEW SUPER SLR
SLR stands for “SHIMANO Linear Response”. The NEW SUPER SLR design uses friction-reducing mechanisms in the caliper, lever and cable to improve response and modulation. Also for the lever, SERVOWAVE mechanism is adopted to achieve quick shoe-to-rim contact and longer travel from initial braking effect for better control. SLR is the backbone of SHIMANO's dual pivot brake caliper that provides greater stopping power than conventional side-pull brakes.

The brake lever is equipped with a reach adjust mechanism. The distance between the handlebar grip and the lever can be adjusted to suit any hand size or type of riding, as well as individual rider preferences

DCL stands for DUAL CONTROL LEVER. It incorporates brake and shift functions into the system and allows for easy use. New internal shifting elements take advantage of the strength of our MTB technology and are so smooth that one finger effortlessly shifts both front and rear.

The DURA-ACE/ULTEGRA/105's DUAL CONTROL LEVER system has an optimized structure, with features including the lighter pivot section on the near-drive side and integral shift cable for lighter steering.
