In an endless quest to push the limits of ventilation, we have removed the foam "bridges" that block airflow in the center, effectively creating air channels that increase ventilation surface area by 24.5% in comparison to the S-Works Prevail II Vent helmet. The new S-Works Prevail 3 has the largest ventilation surface of any helmet we have made.

When a helmet receives an impact, its job is to dissipate the energy from the helmet. The conventional approach when designing helmets is that more foam foam (EPS) means better energy management. We've revolutionized cycling helmet design by innovating beyond foam. Aramid fiber "cables" run through the hull and anchor to the carbon fiber side panels. In the event of an impact, AirCage* technology functions as a suspension bridge and is designed to distribute localized forces throughout the helmet.

The occipital fit optimizes comfort by customizing the fit to the individual head shape and the angle of the helmet can be adjusted to be compatible with glasses. The Tri-Fix adjustable strap system offers riders greater comfort with new, thinner 10mm straps that minimize noise at high speed. And the ultra-light Mindset micro-adjustment system, ANGI-ready and height-adjustable, has been updated to improve grip and offer easy on-the-go adjustment.

Our ultra-lightweight and unparalleled comfort MIPS Air Node technology is integrated directly into the helmet's padding system, with a low-friction layer designed to dissipate rotational forces generated on impacts. With Specialized's own development work, we've added perforations to maximize breathability, performance, comfort and weight savings.
