Shimano Saint M820 - I-Spec B - J-Kit brake. Shimano manufacturer reference: IM820BJRRXNA170
Shimano Saint M820 - Pure Gravity
With its incomparable robustness, stability and ergonomics, the Shimano Saint M820 is the first choice of World Cup champions. Consequently, components developed for the passionate downhill racer offer not only acceleration but also world cup level braking performance. A super stable and quiet ride as well as powerful and efficient brakes make the Santo a true downhill racing weapon.
The Shimano Saint M820 brake set consists of the BL-M820 SERVOWAVE brake lever and the powerful BR-M820 4-piston brake caliper for downhill use. The proven one-way bleed system and easy hose articulation system, which facilitates brake line replacement, ensure easy and trouble-free maintenance.
J-Kit (Easy Hose Joint System)
On brake systems with a J-Kit brake line connection, the brake lever has an integrated pinch seal (olive), which greatly simplifies overall brake line installation and removal.
Shimano Saint BL-M820-B brake lever
Shimano Saint's brakes are trusted by the best gravity riders in the world, providing maximum stopping power in all conditions and enabling precisely controlled braking performance. Thanks to the ergonomic and non-slip levers, the brake handles of the BL-M820SERVOWAVE guarantee safe braking even on uneven terrain. Additionally, the two-finger brake levers offer tool-less grip width adjustment and idle travel adjustment. Equipped with the I-Spec B integrated mounting system for space mounting compatible shifters.
SERVOWAVE
Shimano's SERVOWAVE technology ensures particularly good dosage. Because the brake lever occupies a lot of stopping distance right at the beginning of its movement, the brake pads contact the brake rotor more quickly, leaving more lever travel to modulate braking force. Consequently, SERVO WAVE brake systems impress with quicker reaction time, higher power and shorter idling distance.
Shimano Saint BR-M820 Disc Brake Caliper
The Shimano Saint BR-M820 Postmount Brake Caliper with its 4-piston construction is the ideal companion for gravity and downhill use. The H03C metallic brake pads with Ice-Tech cooling fins in combination with the 4-piston ceramic caliper guarantee excellent heat dissipation, resulting in extraordinary deceleration values.
ice technologies
Brake fade affects braking performance during longer uninterrupted operation. Shimano has introduced Ice-Tech brake discs and pads to create a cooling technology for high and consistent braking performance. The brake disc has a three-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel on the outside around an aluminum core. It radiates heat better and reduces surface temperature. The brake pads, on the other hand, have cooling fins made of aluminium, which further optimize the radiation properties. The disc design in combination with the cooling fins results in longer pad life, less brake noise, less fade and also reduced weight.
Please note the maximum allowable diameter of the brake disc of your fork or frame.
