What is it?
For any ASSOS fan, the name Bonka is synonymous with the ultimate performance in the coldest winter months. Our new LL.bonkaTights have been crafted to ASSOS standards, making them the new technological leader for winter riding conditions.
How to use it
These are our ultimate winter tights. We have worked to create the warmest tights without extra bulk. Use on the coldest rides with our Bonka jersey and Winter skinFoil. ALS Tips: These tights, though our ultimate Winter model, allow a lot of freedom. By simply choosing a different climaRange base layer and jacket you can fine-tune your outfit to perfectly fit your ride and the weather. Add the sturmPrinz and other Winter climaRange accessories to finish the outfit.
Technological Engineering
Developed using our in-house test team, and based on our revolutionary S7 insert, we have worked to create the ultimate winter tights. They will make you rethink your definition of Bonka performance.
The construction
Winter-proof construction - At the centre of the LL.bonkaTights is a membrane that we have added to the full length of the tights for added protection against the coldest weather Mother Nature can throw at you.
Insulation
For maximum insulation we have used the heaviest version of our RX material throughout the tights. On top of that, to protect you from those fall and spring showers, we have used our WR (Water Resistant) treatment on all the material to shed water and keep you riding longer.
We have also placed a second layer of Statagon ultra on the knee, thigh and hip areas. We discovered that by strategically placing this breathable material, which is a great barrier against the cold, we could maximize insulation while minimizing bulk.
Anatomically cut
To make sure that they fit perfectly, we have redesigned the rear knee portion of the tight. Tapered, with multiple panels and made from our RX Light fabric, this new, more elastic and breathable area makes the legs noticeably more comfortable.
Cento insert with goldenGate
Building on the success of the S7 shorts, we have developed all of our W15 tights around this platform. As the long distance tights, we added our cento insert, giving you the added benefits of extra S7 comfort.
waterBarrier
Spray from the road is a pain in the winter months, so we have added our waterBarrier to the bottom of these tights. Anatomically cut, it is an essential section of ASSOS exclusive Type.009 material that repels water. With a loop-free foot construction, this material also ensures that the legs stay perfectly in place.
Reflectors
Winter can be dark, so we have added a large asymmetric reflector at the back of each leg for increased visibility.
blasenSchutz
A feature first used on our s5 winter tights in 2010, this has been proven to keep you more comfortable while riding in cooler weather. By inserting a panel of our Stratagon windblock fabric between the crotch and abdomen panel of the short, we have protected this cold-sensitive area from wind chill, reducing the need to urinate on those cooler rides.
Integrated Pad Protection (IPP)
is a patent-pending technology we have used at the front of the short. Instead of sewing the insert directly to the fabric, it continues to the panel end. This provides an extended layer of protection without seams in the front area - another step towards total comfort!
